2000 honda civic tailight/license plate fuse keeps blowing
2000 Honda civic ex keeps blowing fuse, however I have brake lights, turn signals, and headlights....just no daytime running lights when it is dark. I have replaced all bulbs to 7443, and still blowing fuse when I switch my headlights on...also checked behind radio....found a splice but undid it and put electrical tape on it..im lost!!
Sounds like you have a short somewhere, where is the issue. If you have a multi-meter put one probe at the beginning of the circuit and use the other on the body along where the wire runs. If you find a place of low resistance, you know its close to your short. You should have near infinite resistance if there is no short.
Once you find your cut / frayed wire, if its in a hard to reach spot you can just spay on some plasti dip. Its essentially liquid electrical tape and should keep it from grounding out.

Guys, im still having the issue. Everytime i replace fuse ( and its 7.5 mini fuse) and then proceed to turn on front headlights the fuse blows. I have pulled radio and even unplugged radio...all bulbs have been changed. What about the brake pressure switch that plugs in right behind brake pedal. Could this be causing bad contact or if the switch is bad cause this to keep blowing my fuse. Also now cruise control isn't working either. Its a 2000 honda civic ex 2door. I needd to find this problem asap! Its killing me and dangerous when drving to work in the morning...Please help or call me...409-670-8159....My name is Khris
So the only thing you did, so far, was replace all the bulbs?
did you do anything that was mentioned above?
check wires for fray/cut
you understand that there IS a short somewhere, correct? Meaning some wire is touching or crossing, some where. A bad brake switch will not cause fuse to burn out. Go trace all your bulb wirings. Front and back.
must not be a priority or as you had put it "dangerous" because you've driving like this fir the last 6 months, right?
im only assuming on worse case scenerio and that you dont have another vehicle that you used.
if you want to eliminate the brake switch as a cause, then unplug it. Replace the fuse. Turn the headlights on and see if the fuse get blown. If it does, then it is NOT the cause.

I think that after 1996, the dashboard and radio lights are on a separate fuse. Do the dashboard backlights still work with the fuse blown? If they do, you can rule out the radio wires.
Like civic402lx said, you will need to check all the sockets and wiring, including the front corner lights.
