Default 12 TSX HFL?

My wife has a 2012 TSX and the battery keeps going dead. I did some poking around and found out that the HFL would draw 300ma when car is off and parked. If unit is unplugged the draw goes away. My question is what is makings the HFL go bad? A replacement HFL at the dealer is $1500 for the part only. If this is a common problem is an updated part available?

This is what I've found out. local dealership is aware of the problem. No fix for it yet. HFL will not go to sleep when car is shut off, and because of this HFL doesn't work properly and will drain the battery. So I just wired a Relay to shut off the HFL. No more draw on the battery when car is off and all the weird little problems with the HFL has gone away. Cost me $8 for a relay to fix this.

Read this, and some of the comments below the article. I have a 2012 TSX wagon, and experienced the battery drain overnight the only time I ever set up HFL for BT. My dealer replaced the battery under warranty, but I have avoided using HFL ever since, and my battery has been solid.
