Your best bet is to try for yourself. No one really compromises functionality for stealth in the name of "smog"/bar/ref

OR

Find a GSR block and put your ls crank in it, (removing the oil squirters).

Wait, they'll crush an LSV/B20V car in California? What the hell?

I knew they were **** about smog and go apeshit over public racing/displays, but didn't know they'd crush a car just for an engine swap...

Oh yeah, they do.. But from what I remember, that was from the consequences of illegal street racing in which the car was impounded due to a civil infraction. Not for failing smog/bar/ref.

this is vtec conversion for B20b by S90 (a malaysian company), S90 sell them as a resleeved block with option of this vtec conversion. i personally did 2 of these motors for my customers.

That is a neat piece... too bad someone here in the US doesn't make something similar. That would be stealthy too... it would take a really sharp EYE at the BAR office to catch that trick.
