my honda civic

my honda civicLX 2002 model does not move when put in gear, the rpm will increase as the gas pedal is pressed but the car won't move

Manual or Automatic? Manual I would suspect the clutch. Automatic...who knows. Maybe the torque convertor?

If no previous issues with your transmission ... could be Timing belt issue.
