quick turn signal wiring question (solved)
Car is a 94 eg hatch. I did a wire tuck and developed a little problem with my drivers side turn signal. The turn signal works fine with the head lights are off but when the head lights are on there's no turn signal. Could this be a ground issue? Grnd pt 301 got pretty hacked up. Or could a be that I mixed the wires up when I repined the bulb socket?
Could be either. The shell of the bulb base should be grounded. It should measure nearly zero volts to ground no matter what is switched on.
Also make sure you're using the proper type bulbs with two contacts on the bottom not one.

it was working fine before I pulled the wires through the firewall. That's why I was thinking maybe I put the wires in the wrong order when I repined the socket. Although I'm not sure why that would cause the turn signal to only not work when the head lights are on
There are only 3 wires to the turn signal. One is RED/BLACK which is parking lights, one is BLACK for ground and the other is GREEN for the flashing turn signal. Make sure all connections are good. You did solder instead of just taping the stripped wires together...right?
