Clutch master cylinder.
The clutch pedal stared acting weird. It wouldn't return all the way up and kept getting lower.
I tried to bleed. That didn't help. I assumed that it was the clutch master so I bought one new and now I can't get it to work. Fluid was coming out of the bleed screw but it wasn't under pressure and the pedal goes to the floor. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks. I need to invest in a bleeding tool but even under vacuum it wouldn't pull out all the air. I finally got it to work by pressing the clutch pedal a million times. I think the only difference was that the lid was on the reservoir this last time I tried it. Idk. I've never had this problem when working on brakes.
clutch hydros aren't like brake hydros. i've had good luck leaving the bleeder open, keeping the reservoir full, and working the pedal up and down by hand. leave pedal up, close bleeder. make sure you are using a bleeding cup and cup is higher than bleeder screw but lower than CMC. i change my DOT3 fluids every 3 years. HATE seeing dirty old hydraulic fluid.
