Default sticky manual shifter problem

so when I am shifting into gear (1st thru 5th) I have been noticing that it is hard to put into that specific gear that I am going into. it doesn't happen at every gear every time. but a lot of the time when I am stopped at a light it is hard to shift back into first and I have to put back in neutral release the clutch pedal and then press the pedal again and it will go in smoother. then shifting thru the gears will still remain sticky or hard.

please help me

Default Re: sticky manual shifter problem

You may need to get the plastic bits in the shift linkage. One of them is discontinued and only can get via junkyard or some obscure site somewhere. Most can be gotten at stealership or online. First try to take off shifter console (or just unscrew and lift up) and spray some wd40 or graphite in that shifter linkage area... shift through gently and see if that helps). Also, when you are just driving for now, make sure you shift the same way each time to sync and dont let anybody else drive it.... they would surely muff it up) let me know.
