Default Front facing turbo smoking at idle

I can't seem to figure out what's going on. Currently running a scvanger pump with oil sump tank directly under the turbo and use two check valves. One after the oil sump tank and one at the oil pan. Turbo smokes ONLY once it's warmed up. It's a freshly built engine. I have verified it's the turbo and not anything else causing the smoke at idle. I do have a catch can two port venting from the block. The turbo is an borg warner s372 currently using 4an line no resistor because these turbos love oil pressure. Any input before I sell my manifold and go topmount ??

does the sump/drip/oil return tank have a vent, if not i have seen the suction cause turbos to smoke.. needs to have a small resivour with a vent above the oil level so the turbo is not under a suction

No it does not have a vent on the oil sump. Hmm interesting

Not having a vent is probably the reason for the oil leakage

Ok I'm going to use 10an gauge 1/8 npt fitting after the tank and vent it. Would that work ? Just a straight line venting into the engine bay. ?

most of the setups I've ran just use a 1/4"npt or 3/8"npt filter fitting threaded directly into the top of the tank itself. One even had a 1/8"npt filter fitting in the top of the tank and worked flawlessly as well. I've also never used any check valves anywhere, even in rear mounted turbo setups. The scavenge pump itself is essentially a giant check valve if it is operating correctly and is plumbed correctly.

here are a few pics of how I redid the lines. I like it much better this time. Straight to the point and minimized the oil travel distance. Before I had the hose looped after the frame of the car. This time I grinded enough of the frame to go straight to the pan. I removed the check valve on the in side however left it on the out between the oil pan and pump. Still waiting for a 1/8 npt bung so I can weld it onto the reservoir under the turbo ! Thanks guys
