Default Normal operating range? (temp)

What part of the gauge is normal for the needle to be in for a 2002 DX with a 1.7? I live in GA where it's hot, thanks.

Thanks. CEL came on for bad thermostat, replaced it and all set now. How do I reset the CEL?

Continue to monitor the overheating as these engines are notorious for bad head gaskets. Once it overheats - you may warp the head $$$. I use a scanner to erase the CEL and codes.

It didn't get that hot, temp is spot on now even after many hours of driving.
