Where is Radiator Fan Switch Sensor on 06 Civic?
I searched on google and was not able to get an answer. Im guessing is right near the oil filter? The radiator fan wont come on and will just overheat, I used a jumper on the relay and the fans work when I jump it and had just replaced the thermostat thinking it was open but it wasnt. And Fuses are OK.
Actually, I just found out its just 2 sensors. Fan switch on the radiator and ECT on thermostat. Thanks to honda auto parts diagram. Tomorrow I will replace it and find out if it worked or not.
Two ECTS. 1 by the thermostat. 1 by the bottom rad hose.
Too much air in the system will cause overheating and prevent proper fan operation.
Rebleed with the front end raised. Rad cap highest point. Fill, turn the heater to full hot, start the engine and top off as needed. Give the rad hoses a few squeezes to help things along. Honda recommends too fan cooling cycles. Took me 30 mins for the fan to kick on and the bottom rad hose to heat up. Repeat procedure.
Good luck.
