Default 1996 honda civic cx occasional sputtering

I have been having a problem with occasional sputtering between 20-25 mph and around 60-65. Car has never died. This has been happening on occasion for the last six months. It seems to be happening more often. Have changed fuel filter, distributor, new spark plugs, new spark plug wires. I have fuel pressure. Mechanic checked fuel pump yesterday and said it is working properly. I do not know what to do next... No check engine light. From other posts it seems I should possibly check the following: O2 sensor, EGR port, or reset ECU by disconnecting battery for 10 minutes and then idling for 15 minutes?

I have fuel pressure.
How did you test? What pressure did your gauge record?

I believe the mechanic said it was 41. I also had the injectors cleaned on Saturday - still having the problem.

Update - I had the BG fuel/air induction service done today. It is still hesitating. I am thinking I should just bit the bullet and have the fuel pump changed now. My engine has 85,000 miles and the rest of my car has 191,000 miles. Any input would be much appreciated. thx

Don't throw parts at it - diagnose the problem.

I believe the mechanic said it was 41.
If you want to fix it yourself, you'll need to diagnose it yourself. And that means measure it for yourself. Check fuel pressure at idle and at the rpm range that causes stuttering.

If fuel pressure checks out within spec, move onto the next thing.

There are only so many things that could be going on, and it art of diagnosis is to start crossing them off the list, one by one until you find the cause. More here:

The video is oriented toward no-starts, but can be used to diagnose your problem.
