1995 accord 2.2 vtec auto. Front end tore down and when I hand spin CV a loud clunk appears to come from transmission. It only clunks once for each direction change in other words if I continue to turn it everything appears normal until I reverse direction then a loud echo clunk as if metal is hitting metal inside of a can. I have no drive issues, only noticed this issue while tearing down the front end to replace a bunch of suspension parts and bearings. yet can't imagine this is a normal noise. What could make such a loud clunk when hand turning the cv? Any advice would be helpful...

 

if there are no drivability issues it's likely normal, you just never noticed it before

 

I'm hoping that is the case. It may have to do with the car being in park... I know next to nothing about Transmissions. Thank you for your reply.
