Default coilover struts fro progressive springs

are there any coilover struts that will fit neuspeed progressive lowering springs?

i mean the oem style spring that doesnt have flat top and bottom?

i love the neuspeed race springs but i want to adjust height a little bit
they only come in one option for TSX and is too low

Might be easiest to just use a spring spacer

what if i buy adjustable height coilover body without the spring? and make some kind of adapter for springs
anyone done that?

i really like how these springs handle for daily driver they give me the best ride and corner handling out of everything i tried personally
but i need to adjust the height by about half inch up so the wheels dont rub.
i was thinking of getting koni yellows and making taller spacers for them

I am almost positive that Koni yellows come with a taller perch option. You just clip the perch up higher.

Or...someone with a lathe can make a taller perch position for the konis.

No...you cannot use a coilover meant for flat springs and use it on your Neuspeed lowering springs with pigtails.

Just bought some Konis and it has two grooves for the clip. The top one is the same as stock, the lower one will let you (I guess) lower the car on stock length springs.

For a TSX? Or another car?

Well....either way.

Koni yellows and Bilstein B6/8's come with a groove clip type perch.

Meaning someone with a lathe can easily, in 5 mins, cut you new grooves.

Want to raise a 04-08 TSX by 0.5"? The motion ratios I measured are (S:W):

F: 1 : 0.613
R: 1 : 0.694

You'd need to raise the front spring perch by 0.307"
Rear by 0.347".

That will raise ride height by ~0.5"

so its safe to cut another groove on the shock?
i wasnt sure i could do that

i actually found H&R coilovers with progressive springs.
i might try those instead but ill keep this in mind. i already have the neuspeed springs. if i find a dela on koni yellow i will give it a whirl

i really just want progressive springs for my daily i loved the neuspeed race yellow springs with otherwise stock suspension actually was better on teh corners than skunk2 proC with all urethane suspension kit...
i would assume the H&R progressive coilovers would still be very similar to the neuspeed as far as feels

Yes, its safe to cut another groove. I think Koni may do it for you if you ask.

Why do you want specifically progressive springs? I'm almost sure the stock springs are linear.

H&R coilovers do have progressive springs...and will work well at a fairly TALL ride height. Maybe 1" lower than stock (max). I believe Bilstein makes the shocks for those. Which means they're monotubes. Which means that the ride could either be great...or a little more choppy than you bargained for.

Also...before doing anything...why are your wheels rubbing?? Are the tires too big? Something else wrong?

Ah. The amount of grooves on Konis are different between applications. I am almost sure the 04-08 TSX model has a groove to go higher than stock. Though I do not know what the groove spacing is.

Lots of people cut custom grooves.

Or...

Just buy coilovers?

from what I can see the tsx only has 2 grooves. stock and half inch lower

but now I found those h&r I think I go with those instead
I love progressive springs for daily. to me they are good compromise between comfort and cornering

also there seems to be 2 different pictures for the h&r coilovers

QA1 makes progressive rate, flat bottom springs. You'll need thread sleeves to go with them.
