Just thought I introduce myself. I am a total newbie in the Honda world but looking forward to bringing this ITR to an acceptable standard. I bought the car for a reasonable price on some draw backs, the car does not have the original motor, is heavily modded, and did not come with a/c or p/s. The car has a JDM B18C motor with a lot of mods. It has all the a/c components, so that's not a problem, but I am hunting down parts for the power steering. Any help would be truly awesome! The motor mounts are also after market and makes a terrible clunking sound as I go over bumps. I will be buying some OEM motor mounts for sure unless you folks have a better recommendation. Well, it was nice to meet you all and looking forward to be part of this forum! Here she is:
Welcome.
Looks sharp.
Consider staying with the JDM approach.
Please explain, want to know how to approach this car to make it a fun driving car for the weekends. I want the car to purrr, but it's very load and obnoxious.
Congrats and welcome. She looks nice. What are your plans?
A fun weekend car that sounds great and fun to drive in the canyons. The sound is loud and there is a lot of rattling going on in the car. I want to bring all of these things down to a minimum.
Welcome and congrats on the purchase. The JDM Gunmetal 16's look great. What are your intentions with the car? What are the current motor specs? Stock or cammed/high comp? Intake/Header/Exhaust? Current Suspension? First step is to address any mechanical issues and then figure out what your end goal for the car is. Used p/s packages show up for sale from time to time or a searching a wrecker/salvage yard and some parts are available new from the dealer.
Just found out from the previous owner that it's not the motor mounts that are clunking, but the spherical bearings that are after market and are all metal. It was used for drag racing. Need to get some OEM ones.

Thank You! The motor is said to be all stock, but the intake header and exhaust are all aftermarket. Koni adjustable coilovers, aftermarket motor mounts, intake manifold, Hondata and much more. Just looking for a fun weekend car, but it's so loud and rattles, it needs attention.
