Just picked up a 2000 Honda dx auto. It's a Florida car has been in my state for less than 2 years, has hella miles but is un molested, I've been in to single cam motors since my 99 staurn SL1 turbo(dead transmission), then I grabbed a 2001 Mazda protege dx ( totaled it) so when I found this mint 4 Dr Civic I feel in love. I just need some bang for my buck. What should I do to make it quick......ish I was thinking cold air but not sure if stock ecu will display check engine light or not. Wanted to do guy but I think I want seats.... It has two dents( fender and hood&#128514 I got it on a deal just gonna daily it it'll it dies, wanna make it nice and quick but then again it's a d16y7 so no bhaptec 😔 but it'll be fun. Lmk what y'all think.

as long as the air temp sensor is still in the air path it should be fine

 

Yeah you're not going to get a fast d series without a turbo. If you want something to throw around invest in some grippy tires, nice rims, and strip out the interior. This will improve the handling a good deal and isn't going to cost much.

 

coilovers would be a good investment
