I have a Honda CRVEX 2004 and just had it inspected. The engine light went on just before I brought it in. The mechanic told me when he went to look at it there is a plug? and when he plugged it in all the way the engine light went out. He did say he looked up the error message and it had something to do with the manifold. Since the engine light went out when he played with the plug, they didn't do anything else to it. Since then the engine light has gone on and then gone off, and now it is on and doesn't seem to want to go back off. Does anyone know what he was talking about--and is there something really wrong with my manifold? I'm afraid to drive any long distance with it. Thanks!

 

You can get an obd reader on ebay/amazon for like 30 bucks and there are tons of free apps to use with them. Then you will always know what codes you have! Or you can go to an advanced auto and they will sometimes pull your codes for you.
