that won't hurt anything. The torque converter is on the other side but it is self sealed.

Should i try patching it with jb weld or try welding it myself? I dont have the plastic gaurd anymore so Im worried about water or snow getting in their.

water and snow isn't going to hurt it. That isn't a sealed cavity. Just leave it alone
