6th gen h22a swap ?
ok i am going to go out on a whim. and sound like an *******. But if i had a sixth gen and really thought bout doing the big swap. I think i might go and see if i couldnt trade it in, for a 94-95, or another fifth gen. they run like 4-8k. you would have a ton of money left over for this swap.
sorry but i ll even try to find ya some help on your topic. thus not feeling like a complete ***

send me an email to accord00turbo@yahoo.com and i'll give u a ton of info on the 6th gen swap, along with photos. just be patient on the return email cause i work nights but i promise it will be waiting for you tomorrow morning when u get up.
gettin a 5th gen and doing the swap is the smart way to go, i agree but hey, sometimes it fun to do stupid things...plus...if you look around, there is maybe 7 total 6 gen accords with a h22 swap, if there are even that many, i know of one in houston and one in michigan and mine, and remember hearing of another 2 or 3 attempting to swap in the h22 but have not heard of any updates on them. also its kinda nice to be able to say you have something that not many have so why not take the path less traveled and create something you can be proud of. plus, if you love a challenge and are doing the swap yourself then its a fun learning process. my motor was swapped in by my boys, Street Driven Performance in Baton Rouge, because i called them up and they said they were up for a challenge and that's exactly what it was. there are so many things that have to be figured out when you are stepping onto a newly explored frontier and its real fun to do it plus you get to be able to say, "yea, i figured that out"
if you are up for a challenge, i say you swap in the h22 into the 6th gen, otherwise, i would do what the others recommend.

the reason i am considering the swap is my boosted f23 let go last week and i have come to find out pistons have to be custom made by je 550, darton wants 1700 to custom sleeve the block, crower wants 675 for custom rods.500 for machine shop and mechanic labor. you do the math. i can get a jdm h22a for 1200 plus shipping. i can sell my turbo kit with lots of extras for around 1800 to 2000.

Sleeving by Golden Eagle is only $900 for the "godzilla" sleeves including shipping. they make replacement ductile iron sleeves that cost less than the "godzilla" sleeves.
