I've been a Honda guy for years and this one is really giving me a headache.

my girlfriend bought a bone stock 93 si hatch with 88k original miles, 1 owner, imported from Germany by some military girl, anyway, when we picked it up the guy said it ran great for the 6 days he had after he bought it from auction, but that he decided to do change the timing belt and water pump and now it won't start.

so so naturally I assume he just got the timing mixed up.....

I buy the car, trailer it home, mess with the timing for about two hours before I got it to run. I used the jumper on the blue two wire harness under the dash on the pass side when using the timing gun and setting the distributer.

it ran perfectly!!! for two days!!

the third day I went to start it, and it sounded as if it had no compression. so I immediately assume the timing must be off, so I go over the timing again. everything seems to be where it should.

maim going crazy and I really need some input from someone.
