Havin problems with my lude. plz help!
cmon guys.. help my best friend out.. gude? boosted97? oh yea and we figured out the vtec problem, it was cause the car was not warmed up enough.. anyways yea whenever i punch the car (i.e.: vtec engages) the headlights start flashing and dimming and the left turn signal starts lighting up slowly and eventually the check engine light comes on.. but then when we restart the car the check engine light is gone.. so i'm thinking it has to do with the vtec.... any help is appreciated guys..TIA
What engine code are you throwing? If you can find out what code you are throwing, then you can find you problem...Did you reset your ECU after you installed the intake? Try reseting it, and if the light comes back on, then you have a problem.

andthe only thing we did to reset the ecu was disconnect the negative battery terminal for about 2 hours...

the thing is that we're not able to get the code since the check engine light only comes on after u engage vtec several times.... and if u turn off the car its gone.. one thing is that the pulleys were all replaced and some bearing or something was busted, which was also replaced.. now there's a whistling turbo type sound coming from where the pulleys are...
you never provided that info to us before! Lets see here.... what bearing was it that busted? Im assuming you replaced the altenator and power steering pulley? If you guys did the altenator pulley, im willing to bet money this problem is altenator related. I had a problem with my CEL light coming on a few months ago after about 3 minutes of running, and i could never get it to throw a code, but putting in the hondata fixed that for me. when the CEL light is on, try pulling over and then trying to pull a code... its worth a try.

i tried to throw the code when the engine was on and running, i wasnt successful. but maybe you will be, its worth a try at least. are you losing power? are you still having the electrical problems as well?
when you say grey wire, is it from the wire harness? that right there could be your problem... try to get a picture of it and post it on here, that will help out a lot.
do me a favor, take several pictures of your engine bay, from the wire hanging loose, your intake manifold vacuum lines, pulley/ altenator area, and other locations of the bay that you worked on.
arm, you know you're lazy. im lazy too. lol just get a bolt-on!!!!
yeah CEL comes on when it hits the limiter. that sucks, i wanna hit the limiter! there has to be someone else that gets a CEL when engaging vtec until cut-off.
