so it seems I've stumped the mechanic, this is my first car and I don't have too much know how about cars, just the basics. We had a few issues fixed like sensors and getting the a spark back to the engine and fixed the rpm's from fluctuating while in idle and so on. The problem now is it's inability to start when it's not warmed up. He says it could be a bad negative connection or a fuel injector but I don't have a firm understanding of the situation since I haven't had my hands on it.

Over the past 2 weeks I've replaced:
-the battery
-distributor
-spark plugs
-spark plug wires
-main relay
-tps sensor
-coolant sensor

if you could lend any help or similar expierences it would be much appreciated

where did you get the tps and distributor?
plenty of dodgy parts out there.

Bad ground connection? "Warm out" means usually something expands and makes a connection that otherwise is contracted when it's "cold out". Clean off your ground connections.

 

Have you resoldered the main relay?
