ignition coil replacement
yes it's possible. you can see one of the hex head/bolts to the right of the ignition coil holding it in place. See that rubber o-ring that has two D-shaped plugs that goes all the way around the distributor housing? Pull that off then you'll have the room where you can use a socket or philips screwdriver to remove the long bolts holding the ignition coil in its tray. I'd probably use a socket if it will fit, less chance of rounding things off if it's stuck in there.
Oh and take needle nose pliers and gently remove the spade connectors on the right side of the coil. And remove one of the wires that is in the wire holder along the back edge of the coil.
You must have an HX civic, because that's a picture of the Hitachi distributor.
