aS soon as I run the car for five minutes it starts to over heat and as soon as I get out of the store it will not turn back on until the motor cools down I also noticed that the water in the radiator is not circulating Can you help me?

Engine cold, take the radiator cap off make sure the radiator is full then start the engine (cold) with the cap off and rev it. If a bunch of bubbles or coolant blow out of the radiator, your head gasket is blown.

If the test above passes, next thing to do would be to replace the thermostat.
