Default 15 inch wheel options for jdm dc2 type r

Any suggestions on which five lug 15 inch wheel would clear the dc2 type r brakes? Right now on the stock 16 inch which came in jdm dc2 type r. Planning to install 225 50 15 drag tires but do not seem to find any info on compatible wheels in 15 inch.

if you are still using OEM calipers you can pretty much run any size you'd like. I can run +50 offset 15" wheels with spoon calipers. I'd suggest maybe a 15x8 +35ish offset wheel for that size tire

Yes the calipers are the oem type r ones. Are you on five lug as well?

If you can source a set Hashaam, the EUDM/UKDM 15's look like the JDM 16's and definitely fit the JDM OEM setup.

I run them myself on my JDM 98 Spec R. I have three sets of OEM wheels(because I'm nuts ) OEM 16's, EUDM 15's and a set of EK9 R OEM 15's(identical to the CAN/USDM Teg R wheels) as my winter tyre setup. I run the EUDM 15's as the daily, because potholes are an art form in my neck of the woods and TBH I reckon they give a better feel than the 16's and there is a far wider range of tyres available over the 16's.

yeah stock 5 lug on a USDM ITR. If you aren't very low, the 15x8 +30 - +40 would fit right in with no modifications to rear fenders

only issue I have against your suggestion is that he wants to run a 225/50 tire and being that the UK wheel is only 6.5" wide, the tire would bubble out to much. A wider wheel would fit that tire size appropriately

UKDM and EDM wheels are 15x6. But yeah not wide enough for 225. 205's work the best on wheels that wide.

Yes I realise that. Need something aftermarket in 5 lug 15z, but am not sure which ones would fit. Only need them for front for my toyo 888 in 225 size for a few drag races.. I already have Falken 215 on the stock 16z for streets but needed something stickier and wider for quarter mile drags. As I reside far away from USA, I want to make sure I order the correct wheels. And thanks everyone for the inputs. It is highly appreciated.

Beautiuful ride you have sir. Need a wheel atleast 15 x 7 or 8, Stock eudm ones and ek9 ones I heard are less. I will not really get all the footprint of the 225 on that wheel. The ride I need it is for is around 270 whp NA and having good grip is very important for a few grudge friendly quarter mile drags I tried looking for a 225 tire in 16 inch with a good profile wich would fit but did not really see any options so have to go 15z.

15X7 or 15x8 in 5x114.3 are not that easy to come by anymore. There are used options out there.

A couple of options are 15x8 Volk TE37 (as mentioned) or Rota Slipstream 15x7 or 15x8

Too bad you can't get Kosei 15x7 +38 5x114.3 anymore.

5zigen fn01r-c wheels are a good choice. I can't even recall the offset, but they clear my calipers easily. Also, look at team dynamic wheels. It's a European company, but they have 15x7 and x8 in 5x114, which I plan on getting for my primary track wheels.

You can fit all sorts of drag tires on 15x8 TE37s. 15x7 Kosei K1s are a cheaper alternative as well.
