Default Kester's Street/Strip Build

Wassup You guys... Been around here for ages. Always dreamed about building a "500hp" honda since I was in HS. I had a EK Civic GSR in 08. Had a K swap then sold it like a dumb ***. Car got stolen after that. Picked up another EK which was a lemon. Wasted 1 year dealing with that. Got rid of it. Found a clean S13. Didnt plan on coming back to Honda until I was side swiped and the car was totaled. Then ran into a sweet deal on this current car. And all the stars FINALLY aligned to build something fast.

Guess I just jump str8 to the car. LOL

92 Integra. Wasnt my first choice on chassis but I bought it from a friend. Was suppose to be a 50/50 project car with another friend but we had differences on direction. He wanted to take 2-5 years to build the car.(money issues). I decided its going to be all me.

Goal is to be fast. lol Not looking for a show quality build. Just want the car on the road. Functional is the plan. This winter I will take it off the road and clean up the chassis and prolly turn it into a track only car. . Sorry no pics till later tonight. Im currently at work.

Parts I have so far...

Motor:
-AEBS Sleeved 2.0
-CP pistons
-Eagle Rods
-Valve/Retainers etc are aftermarket as well. Bought used from an old friend and he couldnt remember what brand.
-Type R Cams

Fuel System:
-Walbro 400
-South Bay 1300cc Injectors
- K Tuned Regulator/ Filter
- BWR Rail
- Not sure what to do about tank feed/return line. Might stay stock but everything seems too old to be comfortable with.

Turbo Kit:
-BWR T4 Top Mount
-BWR 3inch Downpipe
-BWR Dumptube
-Tial 44mm Gate
-Ebay Intercooler

ECU- Hondata S300 v2

The car has a running motor in it that im thinking about selling to fund this build.

Type R head
GSR Block
STR ThrottleBody
S2 Tuner 1 cams(havent been confirmed)
Cable LS Trans
Clutch Masters Stage 4 clutch
Chassis:
-Yonaka Coils
-Full Race traction bar
- NRG Wheel

Parts Still Needed;
-Intake Mani
-Trans (Looking for a GSR. But wondering how a b16 would do)
-Turbo (Thinking Borg S360 hoping to hit 600whp on E85. S366 is an option might save that for when the car is completely off the road)
-Exhaust (Kteller piping and Vibrant muffler when I get around to it)
-Hydro Conversion(SMH)
-IC Piping

Parts that I really want but dont know if ima hold up the build for them...

-Hondata CPR
-Mfactory LSD
-Carbon synchros
-S300 upgrade Bluetooth and E85

Im sure im missing some ****. But im open to opinions on everything even tho this is pretty much a standard issue build around here.

I apologize to the grammar geeks...

Funds just arent there right now. Plus thats like the point of no return. Gonna need a bigger fuel setup, better cams, and more trans issues...

Thats what I figured. Really interested in seeing where it spools. Hoping for a decent curve.

The guy that sold me the block said they were spinning it to 10k. Which I thought was a bit excessive. But we'll see.

Nah that RPM is fine for the block if the head is done right. I bring mine to about 10500.

The head should be good to go.

Last owner of the block tried doing that and the stock type r oil pump grenaded. Thats how I ended up with the block and head. LOL

But everything still looks serviceable.

I did that once but once I moved over to an ATI damper never again.

So the Type R pump is good to 10k? This old motor still in the car
Crank still looks good
Cant tell from the pic but the cylinder walls look freshly honed.
Lots of carbon build up on the pistons. Builder said it shouldnt be an issue. We gonna do a fresh set of rings and he'll clean then up a bit. The #1 piston had lots of tiny white specks on them. Hoping its just a tuning issue. Everything is at the machinist, just waiting on the verdict.
I need to work on getting better pictures. Still gotta get pics of the fuel manifold and turbo manifold. If yall even care to see that stuff... lol

Yeah the stock oil pumps can handle 10k no problem.

For 600whp on a BW S360 , you don't need 10k to do that, anyway.

but a new stock oil pump will suit the need perfectly

B16 tranny would be wayyyyy to short for a larger turbo build. Go with a GSR.

Time to finish up this build... Main problem now is I'm running out of money and have a lot of other **** going on at home. Pretty much at a crossroads on how I should finish up the car.

Do I go the cheap route and get the car on the road asap. Or have the build be a standstill for another 6months chasing around big money parts...

I picked up and Victor X intake Manifold, a GSR Tranny, ATI Street Damper and Hush22 Hydro conversion...

My line of thinking at this point is if I don't have all the proper parts to make my goal. Then just do what needs to be done to get the car on the road. Always kinda been a pet peeve of mine to see a car sitting around forever cuz the owner is chasing certain parts. Thinking about switching to a stage 1 goal of 500whp. Which would save me from having to buy the Hondata CPR, a big name brand turbo, ECU upgrade to run E85.

At this point I'm leaning towards an Ebay T70 or Ebay GT35R and hoping to get this car together in the next month or 2...

Get it on the road, by all means! But I would stay away from an ebay turbo.... it's a big roll of the dice and you have a lot to lose

Cheapest turbo you should ever buy is a SPA(with a good amound of IF attached to it too) or a better my lowest quality possible a Master power (real MP not the ebay Bsht. The funny part is the best way to find them are ebay but above 500$).

The Borg I want is 575. If ima spend over 500 or even 400. I would just get the turbo I want.

I seen a good deal for a $400 T61 garrett turbo. But its T3 and my manifold is T4.

Would an adaptor work on a topmount setup?

Trus me its impossible a turbo not made by:
Holset
IHI
KKK / BORG WARNER
GARRETT
TURBONETICS
PRECISION
FP
COMP
MASTER POWER (ORIGINAL)
MHI
SPA
And some other oem ,to be reliable.
A lot of people regretted chinese turbos by having compressor chips inside the engine killing the pistons/cylinder walls...

The cheapest turbo id ever use...Ask em about t3 based turbos that can do 500....

That might be it...

Similar to the S256. And when I'm ready I can jump str8 to the S366.

Thanks Balor. I'll keep you posted when its time to cop. Thinking in a couple weeks.

After life and a furlough getting in the way. I can finally get back to this build. Pretty much starting from scratch. First time really digging into a motor myself. Got the head studs in and the cams out only to find out im missing a dowel pin. A little nervous about putting it all back together.
But just tryna pick up the pace. Kinda itching to get this car on the road. Still missing a few key items but ima purchase whatever I need when I get to that point. Unless I come across some cant miss deals. No more Ebay turbo talk. Its go big or go home. This car will be primarily on E85 as a gas station a 1/2mile from my house just added E85 at the pump. In my dreams I want a Comp turbo. But I think my wallet is gonna be happy with a Borg. Pics aren't anything special compared to the great builds these other guys have going. Moreso for you guys to save me from myself if you see me doing anything wrong.
