The headunit in a 2001 TL?

My friend wants to get his dad an MP3 HU for his birthday. Can you swap out the TL HU's or will the fact that it has a bose system then screw up the sound or make the speakers not work?

it will work just u'll lose your steering controls otherwise everything should work fine

yeah...... bose blowz man.

i wouldnt touch it tho. i rember people with bose having problems with aftermarket heads because of the blowz speakers.

if it is anything like a legend you are probably have to change speakers too. legend(bose) speakers have a really low impendence. Would at least grab the handy dandy test meter and find out.
