H22a oil pressure sending unit psi crossover
I have an h22a and my stock sending unit is going bad and I bought a sending unit for my autometer oil pressure gauge. The stock unit that i have is a switch so 12v when good pressure and 0v when not good. I'd like to set up a circuit to send my ecu a signal at the right pressure. I can figure out what voltage the new sending unit sends at the the the correct psi but i don't know what the psi of the stock sending unit begins to send the signal that the oil pressure is low. Do anyone know what that pressure is? Thanks!
Stock low oil pressure switch is a ground only and the close point is between 7 and 10 psi... but this is only for the oil light on the instrument cluster. This switch does not send any signal to the ECU.
So the sensor doesn't even connect to the ecu? It's directly connected to the light on the instrument cluster?
