Hello guys,

Ive been having a civic type r rear sway bar on on my 00 si since 4 years and just discovered that there is a crack in the subframe.
i was wondering i fit it is safe to weld it and drive the car (probably well put back the stock sway bar)or what should i do ?

 

That part is replaceable on the car requires some spot weld drilling and welding a new piece replaced those on one of my si a long time a go you can get that piece off any Civic that same body style and if some tells you the car is junk don't listen to them

 

Guess its gonna be a tough job.

It's not that bad of a job just takes sometime and some tools just remove the old under coating from it i think there's like 20 spot welds on it our maybe less it's been sometime since i did that job a welder and some basic welding skills and it done you will have to drop the fuel tank

 

Not surprised, oversized swaybar, knockoff plate with no back support. Could've been worst but hey you didn't lose your wheels.

 

no welding, replace only.
