Does not turn on the EK after restoration
I have a problem that I can not find the solution. I have a EK with a B series mount. We painted the car, we mounted the engine and everything was working well, it went very well and everything. Yesterday we washed it to remove the residue from the paint polishing paste and now I do not want to start the car. I put the switch until the last thing that is supposed to be heard the noise of the gas pump, turn on the dash lights and the alarm is heard and nothing, it does nothing. The starter works but the engine does not start. I change the main fuse and nothing, it does nothing. The only thing caught in the dash are the long lights and the signs. Please help.
Wash only part of the radiator support and where the guard is located. The fuses of the front all work. I have been searching and I do not find the problem. Remove all the connectors, clean them with a clean connection and still the same, I opened the computer and everything is fine. I do not know what happens, I put the switch and it does nothing.
If you had the car started before the wash, then it may be safe to assume it's because of the wash that the car is not starting. The starter motor is close to the radiator and possibly you sprayed it while washing. After you know you have a good battery (test it) check for battery voltage at the signal wire of the starter while the key is in the run position. This will take 2 people to do. If if you voltage there put no noise make sure the starter ground isn't compromise by the new paint on the chassis. Connect a new ground strap and run to battery to test the ground side. If you have power and ground at the starter when in the run position then you need a starter my friend.
