Icon4 Need a professional opinion!

So to make a long story short, I need to replace the engine in my 1993 Honda del sol. Now my first problem is , I don't know what configuration my car is (ex; s, si or vtec). And it didn't come with a user Manuel and most of the labels are ripped off so I can't even til if it's a 1.5 or 1.6 L engine.... I know, I'm useless right ? Anyways, I have a guy trying to sell me a b18c1 engine, I would like to know if it is comparable for my car and also if it's worth the time and money to fix.
Don't know anything about cars so any info/advice would be great.

it's on the block, left of the header. By the sounds of it, have someone do the work. You don't want to attempt the work and be stuck 3 days into it.

S model (D15B7)

Si (D16Z6)

DOHC VTEC (B16A3)

Okay cool, I'll check on it. My next question is can I use a b18c1 gsr swap. I've called auto part stores from PA to OH and NY and no luck finding my exact engine, and this guy wants to sell his b18c1 gsr swap online. And like I said I have no knowledge on cars what so ever, just wanna drive my baby

B18C1 (USDM GSR) can be used.
You will need to source a DOHC VTEC shift linkage because the one that comes with the B18C1 WILL NOT WORK on Del Sol's. Best bet is to get a used one, preferably in good, running condition. It isn't hard to do Honda swaps. You just have to read up on it and make sure to do it right the first time. Having someone help you would be great but then again, if that person doesn't show you the steps, you will be missing out on what's going on. Good luck...
