1992 Accord w/ D4 flashing 9 times. What code is that?

 

The check engine light should come on , you would go to a store and get the codes from that

 

If the D4 light is flashing it should have 2 sets of flashes. All D4 codes are 1-1, 1-2, 2-5, etc etc.

If the check engine light is flashing as well, you should decipher and diagnose the CEL/MIL error code prior to the D4/Transmission control unit error code.
