So I need new speakers. I still have the original rears! I purchased some Pioneer speakers for the rear and i had a couple issues. First, the magnet diameter was too large to where the trunk torsen bar was hitting. I thought that depth would be the issue, but it isn't. If the speaker basket was much deeper with the same diameter magnet as the originals it would work. Second issue is the rim of the speakers where the bolts go. There was plastic that went above where the bolt heads are and that caused the interior speaker covers not to go on. Is there anyone that bought aftermarket speakers that worked without modification? thanks

 

why not just do modifications?
