How wide can the tires go without scraping the wheelwells?

why do you want wide *** tires on stock wheels? goin 4 wheelin? j/p witcha, just curious

 

I think that the widest tire that can fit on the stock wheels are a 205 tire, and there shouldn't be any probelms with those. HTH

 

yeah I have 205's on mine as well. I wouldn't try to go any wider. if you can find some 15x7 wheels, you can go 215 maybe higher.

 

I also 205's on my stock 98 GSR Blades. It feels good except for the fact that the wider tires cause a feel of "rollover" with the tires...

 

205/45-15 or 205/50-15?

 

i have 95 gsr rims with 205/50/15 on my rs, there are scrape marks on the inside wheel well. it worked ok on my gsr. .
don't know why.

 

get the 205/50/15's.

 

im running 215 50 15 kuhmo 711 on 96 gsr with stock rims also run same size dunlops. no problems plenty of clearance.

 

How do they drive with the wider tires?

I have 205 50 15's on my GSR but that's because the dealership put them on. stock is 195 50 15. 205 is probably the widest.

 

I'm sure that stock is 195/55/15.

The equivalent of a 195/55/15 if you're going with a 205 width would be a 50, not a 45.
