Frontal Downforce. How?
I have already run searches on this topic and have found nothing. Well as the subject says, I'm looking for a way to increase downforce on the front wheels, if this is possible. I don't want oversteer so much as I want neutral handling. Anybody know of a good way to increase frontal downforce? Secondly if anybody's car exhibits neutral handling, how'd u do it (excluding SH)? Any help is appreciated. Thanks
I found my spoon front strut bar planted my wheels better...or at least cut out wheel hopping a great deal. For instance I was chirping gears easily with the bar on, as soon as I took it off it was gone. A rear sway bar will also make your steering more neutral.
I do plan on installing ST front and rear sway bars, and a Neuspeed front strut brace this summer, and I know those will help greatly, but is a rear strut brace worth it? Who makes a good rear strut brace (1 piece)? I was just thinking that more frontal downforce would be a pretty nice thing to have on a fwd car. Peace
If you want less understeer you can always keep your rear tire pressure a bit higher, as for the front ST sway bar, try waiting till you have the back one installed first to see if you still need it. The front ST is the exact same diameter as the stock one (25.4mm) but has less dramatic bends, so the difference from the front one will not be as dramatic as from the rear. As for actual aerodynamic downforce on the front, you can look around for a functional front lip, Greddy makes one but I don't know if its actually functional.
frontal downforce?? you gots to be kidding.....
maybe over 130 mph......which i would imagine you won't hit to often...let alone try to turn at that speed

well okay I hear you there. Well still how is it done? What handling benefits would the car exhibit of it be at that speed? Who sells these if they aren't fugly.
I'm assuming a front airdam provides downforce, and I'm wondering about the dynamics of it too. Any info is appreciated. Thanks
oh yeah: I'm getting Pirelli P7000 Supersports this month too, so that with all the aforemention mods in the thread will of course help.

ever try running a slightly narrower rear tire on the same wheel so it breaks away a bit earlier, smoother and "cleanly" if that can be said. Not really applicable to a 205 width app but yea, you could add fins on the front fenders
. Or ducting from just behind the front tow point out the fenders to try and create a vacuum pocket under the front axle. All that is really reaching and frankly I'd get a good chuckle at someone pulling up w/ that.
I'd just leave it at getting the rear axle stiffer than the front to get the rotation you want or sell your car and buy a day in an open tire car.
