Default 1997 Accord Wagon F22B DOHC swap

I am looking to do a F22B DOHC swap into my 97 wagon. I am looking to make an improvement over the stock F22B2 but don't want to go full H22 or F20B, something mild to start. I have searched this site and others and cannot find definitive answers to the following questions. I can get a F22B with engine harness and ECU for about $700. I already have a F22A Exhaust manifold to go from the F22B head to the F22B2 mid-pipe. My question are,
1) What do I do about the internal distributor in the external distributor wiring harness?
2) Since I want to stay OBD II and the engine is an OBD II engine, what sensors or changes do I have to make to keep the check engine light off for emissions reasons.
3) Does anybody have pics of what go grind on the motormount to make it fit?

Thanks in advance for any constructive responses.

I have a source locally, VegasJDMImports to source the motor and ECU. My problem is what else I need to do to get the internal coil distributor to work with the external harness coil. The sensors on the oil pump that are not in the internal coil distributor. The EGR and if I change the ECU will the EGR even show up on the monitors list for smog. I want to keep the car OBD2 and have the check engine light not on all the time and be able to pass smog legally. Also the power steering issue and do I just need the motor mount from a Prelude to keep from grinding my Accord one?

I'm kind of in the same boat but in the end that's sinking. I've got a 97 accord wagon as well, and I'm trying to figure out an engine to swap in with little to no changes. The one that's in it is about to pop and I could go with oem but i want to find something to build on. Suggestions? Anyone?

Where does f22b DOHC come from? I thought it was DOHC f20 or SOHC f22?

F22B[edit]

This engine was used in the mk4 1992–1996 Honda Prelude Si in Japan. It is similar to the H23A. The mk5 1997 Honda Prelude also used this engine in first years of manufacture sold as Si only in Japan.

Specifications[edit]

  • Bore × Stroke: 85.0 × 95.0 mm
  • Displacement: 2156 cc
  • Valve Configuration: DOHC, 16 valves
  • Compression ratio: 9.3:1
  • Max power: 168 hp (119 kW) @ 6500 rpm
  • Max torque: 160 lb·ft (215 N m) @ 6000 rpm
  • Redlines @ 6800 rpm
It's a JDM engine out of the Prelude. Basically a F22 with a F23 DOHC head from the factory. Non-VTEC
