Hello somebody did a hit and run and totaled my EK hatch, I recently replaced the engine with a jdm 96-99 zc D16A replacement and swapped over my intake manifold and did the cfk bypass and engine ran great so i would like to keep the engine. I found a good deal on a 2000 Honda EX with a blown engine. Can I swap my D16A engine into the 2000 Honda civic? I searched but couldn't find a definite answer in what's needed thanks.

What yr is the total ek hatch? If its obd2a you might need a conversion harness to use the current ecu. Since its an EX you should be good to go on the engine harness side.

Can I put Engine from 2000 Accord into a 1999 Accord? I bought my daughter a pretty nice 2000 Accord and a month later she rear-ended someone. Damage was : Hood, Radiator, Grill, Bumber, both quarter panels, passenger air-bag. My neighbor who buys and sells cars has a 1999 Accord with bad motor. Can I take the motor from the 2000 and put it in the 1999? Thanks for any advice!

 

You might have issues with the distributor, the plug might be different from an obd2a and you also might not get a tach signal so you'll probably have to run a wire. I'm sure you are up to the task as you are a regular in the integra section but just let me know.

 

Yea the tach I can fix and maybe I can use the EX distributor, my options right now are slim I found a clean 2000 spec EK hatch that's auto and would like to do a conversion since mines would have everything needed but I did find a frershly painted 99 spec integra shell for 600 I could swap my single cam in lol but it proprally is more work than I even think haha but the auto EK hatchbacks are just more readily available.
