Ethanol-free gas worthwhile for 2000 Accord?
Ethanol free gas is basically made for small engines, and carbureted engines. It has no additives for cleaning fuel injectors, and what have you. It can also sit around longer without mucking up a carburetor. It may also be called non oxygenated. Higher octane is slower burning. 2 points is not a whole lot, but it can make a slight difference when you get over about the 10:1 compression threshold on those smaller engines. Also ethanol requires about a 12.7:1 air fuel mix for a stoichiometric burn, and methanol is about 14.7:1, so eth requires more fuel. 10% is not much at all. Regular pump gas is made for fuel injected cars. Ethanol is some bullshit political socialist propaganda that ends up costing taxpayers money to use, and raises the cost of corn. You can take that anyway you like. Sorry e85 lovers, but that needs to die out, unless you pay 4.00$ or more for a gallon in reality. My 2 cents.
