I am the 2nd Owner Since June 2002.
Located in Ottawa Ontario.
Asking $4900 USD
Would love to see this car go to a great home, I've owned it 15 years.
220400 Kilometres
It has been winter stored the last 6 winters, but it has been winter driven before that.
No Accidents or Theft Recovery History.
No one has ever smoked in the vehicle. No Pets haven been in it. Interior is very clean with only the usual wear on the driver’s seat and the shift ****.
The Trunklid was replaced due to someone damaging it when trying to steal the OEM Wing.
All other Sheetmetal is factory original with original paint with Matching VIN Numbers
OEM Front Lip was recently repainted. Car has the OEM rear lip
No Rust – Panels have been treated with rust proofing oil.
Floorboards have ZERO Rust. I never allowed road salt to get on the carpet.
Original Engine and Transmission. Engine burns a bit of oil, as it is a 17 year old Honda engine. No Grinds in the transmission. Well taken care of with timely oil changes, Transmission fluid changes.
Clutch has been replaced in 2009 with an OEM clutch kit, pressure plate and throw-out bearing were all done at the same time, and the Flywheel was professionally resurfaced. The still clutch grabs like new.
At this time the Front end suspension was rejuvenated with new tie rods inner outer, upper and lower
ball joints, all OEM parts.
I am the only mechanic that has worked on the car since 2002.
The Timing Belt, water pump and tensioner were last changed at 137,000kms with OEM Parts.
Tires have 70-80% Tread left
The car does not have A/C. It would need a compressor, a condenser and a dryer and the labour to put it all back together + a Freon charge.
Vehicle has a Mid 2000s Alpine head unit that has a built in amplifier, so the stereo is quite loud.
I can provide the factory CD player and Radio.
The car has Koni Yellow Shocks and OEM Integra Type R springs
Original SiR Springs and Shocks will be provided.
I put a new Honda battery in it less than a year ago.
New NGK Spark Plugs, and I have Denso Wires on order for it.
All in all, very good condition, but not a garage queen by any means. I have attached a picture of a dent on the roof beside the sunroof, the car obviously has other minor paint blemishes being 17 years old and original, but that is the worst one on the sheet-metal.

Don't appreciate people saying it is difficult to import the car without explaining why.
The car is a US built car with that met all US safety and emissions standards.
Is it more complicated than buying a car from your next door neighbor? Of course, but it's not a really big deal. Used cars go back and Forth from Canada to US and vice versa depending on how the exchange rate is. So when you are busy complaining about how hard something is, someone else is just doing it.
Price is negotiable, and not firm at $4900. This is a rare chance at a VSM EM1.

i would pick this up but not sure how to even start the process to import to the states. Do i contact my local DMV also looks to be extra fees for crossing the border.
Im in the process now with a wrx from Canada. Easiest way is to have the registered owner bring it across and title it here. Obviously thats not an option so....
get the canadian title signed over to you, get a bill of sale from seller to you, get a letter from Honda of America stating that this specific vehicle is equipped with all required smog and safety equipment compliant to your states standards. Make sure the letter has your vin. Get a smog and vin verification. Then take all that stuff to a customs broker so they can formally introduce the vehicle. Also helps if you know when and where the car crossed the border. Its not hard just time consuming and will cost me about $600. Dude i bought it from bought it from a guy in canada back in 2009 and has been riding dirty the whole time lol. If i can do it anyone can do it. Oh yeah im in cali, one of the lamest, farthest to the left, tree hugger states ever. If this guy is asking $4,900 canadian thats like what $3500 US? Easily sell this car for $6500 here if its rust free
was it part of the rear seatbelt recall and if so was it completed?
No was not part of the seat belt recall. There have been no re-calls on this vehicle.
The compliance letter will state that and also state that the vehicle meets all safety and emissions standards for the USA.
Hopefully they issue it to me, because I wasn't able to give them an exact export state yet.
