I bought a used gsr transmission and didn't notice that there is an actual hole through the transmission where the tranny mount goes. . . . can i still get away with this or should i try to find another transmission housing?
Your pictures show that the threads are destroyed almost all of the way down through the hole... a longer bolt was employed at some point to try and get to good clean threads at the bottom of the hole. TimeSert the hole and use some HondaBond on the bolt when you install it in the car. It may leak a bit from time to time, but this area is very high in the case and above the normal level of the fluid. This means that it will only potentially leak during actual operation... not while it sits.
