Default DRL and high beams not working

Hi There, I'm new to the group. I have a 2010 Honda CRV this is my 3rd CRV. Two weeks ago my AC stopped working and the tech at the shop wasn't sure of the problem. Now my DRL idiot light is lit on the dash. They do not work and my high beams are not working. My mechanic said I must have a bulb that is out. How can 1 bulb cause my DTR lights to not work or my high beams?? Could there be a correlation between my AC and lights not working?? I know it's a silly question.
Thanks, Stacy

Sounds like you need a new mechanic. Try Google or Yelp.

Also it is unlikely that the AC and lights are related....though in the automotive repair world anything is possible.

If Honda stuck with their normal design from 95, the high beams and the DRL are on the same relative circuit. The DRL goes through a resistor box to the high beams.

Unless the AC and your DRL/High beam share a ground, I don't think they are related.

I think you may have aq grounding issue on the high beam side of the bulb.

I have a 2007 Honda Accord and I’m having a similar issue. My DRL light on the dashboard came on recently and now my hi beams don’t work. I checked the fuses and they look fine. Has anyone been able to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance for any help.

It's possible both headlight bulbs are burned out on the bright side. Probably not likely but possible. Just something to keep in mind.
