I have a P28 with Hondata S300 V1 everything checks out to be a real unit besides the heat sink, on hondata website it says real ones will have 7 rows and fakes will have 6 rows of heatsink among other things so anyone know and confirm mines is real and why it has 11 rows? Everything else looks correct.

It looks to be legit. I suggest you send it in to Hondata and upgrade it to the current white board version before the internal battery fails and it is rendered useless.

 

Yeah I had this for a long time, I bought it a few months back when I had issues with my engine and could not bring it to my tuner church Auto. who is the only one I know of who can still tune S100 so I bought a p28 with a S300 so that I could data log the ecu and see what's wrong and found out I had a bad connection to the ect sensor.

​​​​​​​I'm still using the p28 with S100 still on my car but planing to now upgrade my other P28 with S300 to the v3 because i plan to use a gm flex fuel s3nsor and e85 but in an attempt to sell the unit people are questioning the heatsink and won't buy it till I get confirmation Monday from Hondata to prove it's 100% real. Which I'm 99.9% sure it is.

 

Hondata has confirmed it is genuine in case anyone has one too.
