Aloha everyone, I'm currently at for Leonard wood,mo.... For advanced individual training and of course my 04 tsx I purchased a week before leaving home decided to crap out on my wife . She said when she was at autozone, a guy looked at the pulleys because the drive belt essentially broke and he tried to spin the ac compressor pulley but it was locked up.......can anyone assure me that the compressor is gone? I'm fine ordering a new one but the car is jus sitting at home and I can't work on it till may...........also, where is the drier and expansion valve? Thanks you guys :-)

 

Check and repair all of your belts as necessary. When the car run normally, try to turn on your AC and see if it works properly. Broken belt may not ruin your AC compressor easily. I am not sure if you can turn the compressor pulleys by hand .. best thing is to try is as usual when the car is running ... no need to check it by hand.

​​​​​​​Thanks for replying brotha, so basically what I was mentioning is that the belt snapped off/broke because of the pulley on the ac compressor locking up, I've replaced tons of ac compressors on my previous civics and integras and I could rotate/spin the pulley by hand so that's why I was asking if, the pulley on my tsx dosent spin ( no belt on it ) that the compressor is locked up and needs replaced? I'm planning on getting a new condenser as well
