This is my first time owning a car and i checked for the check engine code and I got 19. Is it dangerous to drive and how could I fix this?

 

Transmission error code 19 is the automatic lock up control solenoid valve. It may actually be a bad transmission, or just bad solenoid. How does it drive? How does it shift while driving? The solenoid should be easily replaceable; and mildly inexpensive at that.
