Default 96 Honda Accord trans problem

Hello I have a 96 Honda Accord 2.2 sohc. Just change the trans fluid and while I was driving the dipstick shout out of the trans, fluid went all on hood and motor, lost about a court to court and half, was going about 60 mph. it's an automatic trans, Does anyone know what could of cause this to happen.

My first guess is you might have severely overfilled it, perhaps too much pressure as a result.

Drain it and find out your capacity for a drain and fill and try it again.
