Ok I have a 2001 Honda civic dx that I believe has the vtec motor with automatic transmission. It is also a 1.7 liter. Question is what transmission and what years of transmission will work for a replacement? Will only Honda transmissions work? I have been all over the internet looking for answers and have not come up with any answers. Please throw some info my way.

 

It is best to verify by your VIN but it should be a 2001-2005 Honda Civic DX/LX with trans sticker ID BMXA or SLXA
