O2 sensor problems on B16 swap
Hey guys, I'm new to this forum. Hoping you guys could help out. I just swapped a B16a into my 89 CRX si. The guy who did my swap was a total hack. I've been trying to fix it since. Right now my problem is I have an obd0 car but only 1 single wire O2 sensor. I'm getting a o2 sensor code on my ECU. I don't have a place on my headers for a second o2 sensor because I think my engine block is from a 92. My dizzy and ECU are obd0 however. Question is do I have convert to obd1 to get rid of the code? Or can I install a second o2 sensor on the headers to get rid of the code. FYI, my original O2 sensor is new. Thought that might be the problem.
what ecu are you using? if you can find the pinout diagram for it, try to splice the spare o2 sensor wire that isnt currently connected to anything into your working o2 sensor's wire so that the ecu is receiving 2 o2 sensor signals to the correct pins. it's a little dodgy but should work just fine
I'm using a obd0 ECU. Not sure exactly what kind. I don't currently have my car, it's in another shop. I thought I might be able to do that as well but where would I put that second o2 sensor?
just check your ecu, find the #2 o2 sensor pin and see if there's any wire connected. if there is, splice that wire into the #1 o2 sensor wire. if there isn't anything wired to this ecu pin then you're going to have to add a pin and wire to the connector yourself, then splice this wire to your #1 o2 sensor wire.
