what radiator:Fluidyne vs. Koyo
I am looking for a radiator for my fifth gen and am considering Fluidyne (pt.# FHP11-4) which comes with an 11 inch fan, or Koyo which doesn't come with a fan. Anyone have any experience with there radiators? Any help would be great and I did try the search first. THanks
I hve seen Koyo radiators for $369.00 w/out fan and Fluidyne for $469.00 w/Fan. I looked into pwr but they don't make them for the g5 yet. Thanks Ludecrous, I will look into C&R. Also, how important is the depth of the radiator? the fluidyne is 40 mm but I belive the koyo is 50mm.
ive got a koyo...its excellent...fits perfectly and looks awsome...not to mention it works great...no fans though, i used a fluidyne slim fan cuz the koyo is super thick...ill take pics n post them...but definitly worth it...

I have a 4th gen h23. I'm going turbo and thinking a new radiator will give me some more space in the engine bay. Which one should I go with that's smaller than stock but give me the same or better cooling capacity
good luck finding one smaller than stock that will work...the koyo is almost twice as thick as stock...it barely fits with my turbo mani...but hey its safer...im not sure bout how thick the fluidynes are but im sure they are thicker as well...
Thanks for the replies..After doing some searching, I now know that I can fit any radiator in there with my t3/t4e and not have too many issues with space. But I still don't know which one to go with
I think I am going with the C&R. It is 50mm thick comes with a 14 inch fan and is only $379.00 from gb center. By the way does anyone have any pics?
Guys, honestly you do not need big radiators like that.... You will not notice a thing, nor will your car be any cooler.. I still race with the stock 1993 Radiator in my car, for 30min races all above 5krpm, in 105% degree at CMP with NO problems.. Its really an overkill guys, go on ebay and buy the 100$ replacement radiators if you need a new one..
tis true. A better upgrade for a FI prelude is an oil cooler. Get a B&M and use it to cool your oil. Best spot I found for installing them at on 5th gens is where the drivers side horn is. Trim the plastic for the grill, and relocate the drivers side horn to over with the passenger side one (the stock wiring will reach). It's going to do alot more for you than an upgraded radiator.

The only good thing about the $100 replacement radiators is they are all metal, not half plastic like the OEM pos's...
For a n/a car, even in 100° weather, a replacement radiator will not make a difference. High speeds only aid in cooling. Block off 90% of airflow to your existing radiator, you will see a difference!
Apples to oranges, and I have the c&r.
