Icon5 96-00 civic lx (Non-Tech) exhaust swap with ex. O2 sensor Difference??

So I have a 97 LX sedan and just got a complete full exhaust from a 2000 ex was going to get the O2 extension harnesses and came across a forum about the O2s being different for the 99-00 ex's?? So does this mean I can't use the good O2s that I just got with the full 00 ex exhaust, or am I able to use them without problems/issues??

'99 - '00 EX O2 sensors use a different plug, but are functionally identical. Reuse the sensors you already have.

If you cant use your old one, just swap the plug.
