The primary oxygen sensor on my 00 civic ex went. I went on various websites to check how much it would cost to replace it and the cheapest i find is $200. It's ridiculous, yet on ebay they have the same o2 sensors for $50, however they don't include my '00 civic ex as compatible. On the flip side '98 EX's are ok with $50 o2 sensors.

From my understanding the '98 ex and under have 2 sensors, one at the cat and one on the exhaust manifold (top part). On my car the two o2 sensors are under the car, one at the end of the header, and one on the cat.

What justifies such a huge price difference? I called Honda and the part numbers are also different, i want to know if i can use a 98 ex sensor on my '00 ex.

any 4-wire o2 sensor, factory, will be pretty expensive, moreso for any 96+ cars.

Your info is at the bottom. Looks like the primary sensor is only used on the '99-'00 EX trims and the secondary is only used on the '99-'00 EX and Si trims.

From Honda your O2 sensors are a decent price (my '98 EX has the most expensive one though - it's the secondary O2 sensor though). Are the O2 sensors you're looking at universal or OE style?
