Default 96 Accord Build

Yes im new to the site, but I'm looking to get an insight on what transmission to run on my non vtec F22B2. My f22 tranny is slipping as of now, and I was looking to replace it. Was boldly wondering if I should stick to f22/f23 or swap in a h series

Keep it simple and stick with an F series transmission.

I've been wrenching on CD (94-97) Accords for well over 15 years now. Anything you want to know ask away. If I don't have the answer, I can show you were to find them. Where in NB are you? I'm just outside of Saint John.

Well currently I'm looking specifically for a shorter geared transmission as I'm going to boost my car in the near future. And I'm from neguac area, hour from miramichi

Are you wanting to swap to a 5 speed or stick with the auto?

You will need to get your hands on a chipped OBD1 ECU so that you can tune for boost. Xenocron Tuning Chipped ECU

If money is of no concern or you are looking for a complete tuning solution. you could also look in to a stand alone engine management system, AEM EMS, Motec and MegaSquirt are a few options under that category. MegaSquirt being the cheaper of the three. That being said, MegaSquirt requires a bit more set up and tuning time. Knowing whether or not your tuner is familiar with each of these systems before you purchase one is a must.

Do you have a tuner in mind?

JD Racing is one of the local shops that is used to tuning imports. I'm pretty sure they are located in Cap Pele. Danny Leger is his name, if I remember correctly.

Money's not really an issue but yes I'm going to buy quality ecu and controller etc. As this will eventually be a full on track car in the future

Do you have a tuner in mind or are you going to try this on your own?
